John Orozco

Yesterday, I got to see the Men's Gymnastics Individual All-Around.  It was such a great competition to see - and the arena was amazing!

The 'megatron' in the middle of the arena that shows score, close-ups, and replays for both the audience as well as the competitors.

John Orozco's (USA) floor routine for the individual all-around competition.  If you can hear me during the video, I am realizing that this guy is in Gym Class Heroes' music video for the song 'The Fighter'.

Because it was the 'individual all-around' competition, the gymnasts were split into groups that performed on different apparatus at the same time.  Then they were all rotate - the crowd would clap along during each rotation.

Megan & Men's Gymnastics

This morning, I got to watch my good friend, Megan Fonteno, swim her 100 freestyle and get a best time!  Megan is finished competing now too, so we hope to go out and see London a little bit together.  Megan and I met at USA Swimming's diversity select camp a while back, but it was good to see a familiar face.  Today we got tickets to men's gymnastics!

After, we'll head to swimming finals.  We're on the lookout for other tickets as well, because athletes get free tickets by request to any event.  I've requested some to basketball, so hopefully I get them!  I'm not sure what else I would like to watch, but I want to see a little bit of everything.  I'll take some pictures tonight at gymnastics.
