Heat Sheets are out!!

Well, the heat sheets are out.  I'm in the 1st heat, lane 6.  Unfortunately, most of the wild cards swim the 50 free so I will be the 2nd slowest swimmer in the 200 freestyle.  :(  Now I wish I were swimming some of my shorter events - But it will still be a great experience!  Here's the heat sheet:

Feeling Tired?

No worries.  The mcCafe is open 24/7 with plenty of caffeine for athletes to choose from:

The McCafe in the Olympic Dining Hall.

I'm sure I'll be having my fair share of Mocha Frappes once my competition is over!  The McCafe also has pastries and yogurt parfaits.

The other side of the McDonald's has normal 'meal' food - burgers, fries, etc.  More athletes eat at McDonald's than you would think!

Accreditation Card

Anywhere you want to go within or around the Olympic Village, you need your accreditation card.  And even then, there are certain places you can't get into.  Here's what mine looks like:

My accreditation card

On the lanyard, are pins.  All of the athletes receive pins for their countries and then you can trade for other countries' pins.  I haven't traded much yet, because I've been busy with training, but these are the ones I have so far:

I'm pretty sure all of the athletes receive this one in the gift bag.

This is the Mauritian pin.

This is a Columbian pin that I traded for.

This is a USA swimming pin that I traded Missy Franklin for.

This is a USA swimming pin that I traded Rachel Bootsma for.

I can't wait to trade for more pins!  They're all so different and interesting.
I'm getting ready for the Opening Ceremony tonight.  Unfortunately, the athletes don't get to see everything because they're walking in it.  But I'll be sure to take video of everything I can!
