Posing a Threat

Every time you go to practice, you have to take a bus to the pool (whether it's Eton Manor-the practice pool or the Aquatics Center-the competition pool).  And every time you go back to the village, you have the go through security.  This security is full-blown 'airport security', too.  You've got to put your bags through a scanner and walk through a metal detector.
Today, I was stopped.  The guard wanted to know if I had a sword in my swim bag........... um, no.  I'm in swimming, not jousting.  However, once the guard saw that I was an athlete, he just let me through without checking my bag.  I think it's because I gave him a pretty dirty look when he asked if I had a sword in my bag.  I didn't mean to, but I was just SO thoroughly confused by his question.
